What so special about these tiles? The tiles we use are regular ceramic tiles that have been coated to receive the special inks we use.
how do we clean the surface? While they are extremely durable, an abrasive cleanser may scratch the surface.  We recommend regular surface cleaning solutions like ammonia or bleach based products.

How hard are these tiles to install?

These tiles are simple to work with and can be cut and set just like normal tile. They should be cut with a tile saw to get a good clean edge.
A tile map will be included that shows the image the tile will represent when it is installed. Each tile has a number on the back that corresponds to it's location when viewed from the front or installed position.
Can you put an image on an existing backsplash? Unfortunately no. Our tiles have a polymer coating that normal tiles don't have. This coating allows the image to permeate into the tile coating during manufacturing. The images are basically cooked into the coating on each tile at 400 degrees.
Can you correct photos before putting them on the tile? Absolutely. After correction, we will email you a copy of what your image will look like before we print.
Can I use your tile anywhere I want to? Some tile types work better in certain applications. For example: We would only recommend glass tile for a floor. Also, for outdoor use freezing may be an issue. See Tile Info for more details.
Can you do mosaics? Yes. A custom order using glossy or Satin Hard Coat 2" tile can be used to create a mosaic of any size for use in a frame or wall mural, backsplash or surround.
